Aleksandra (Sasha) Vilcinska is a Latvian-British award-winning composer and singer-songwriter based in London, creating music for film and television.

Her recent work includes the feature film Meie Erika, Estonia's official submission for Best International Feature Film at the 99th Academy Awards. Vilcinska's original score, recorded live with Riga Sinfonietta, was nominated for the 2026 ISFMF Crystal Pine Award for Best Original Score – Feature.

Her other credits include Hollywood Music in Media Awards-nominated Tapeworm, recorded at AIR Studios London; Guardian-featured Harvest; Student BAFTA-winning There Once Was a Home Game; Student Academy Awards finalist The Undertakers; RTS Student Award-winning Ministry of Enigmatic Affairs; and Al Jazeera short Where Roots Lie.

A particular focus of her work is the voice as a textural instrument. Her sound blends intimacy with tension-driven worlds, combining textured synths, vocal elements and evolving sonic landscapes.

In 2024, Sasha was named Composer Rising Star at the Music+Sound Awards. In 2026, she was selected for the Alliance for Women Film Composers Mentorship Programme, where she is mentored by Oscar-winning composer Steven Price, and for the VIFF Composer Filmmaker Accelerator in Vancouver.
