Aleksandra (Sasha) Vilcinska is a Latvian composer, multi-award-winning singer/songwriter, and pianist. MASA 2024 Rising Star award winner and HMMA 2024 Short Live Action score nominee. She has worked on a student BAFTA 2024 winning video game "There Was a Home", student ACADEMY award 2024 finalist documentary "The Undertakers" and Kerry International Festival 2023 winning student documentary "Harvest".  Influenced by her background as a vocalist, her music often incorporates voice into its instrumentation. Her compositions are frequently synth-based, hybrid, modern, and experimental. Aleksandra's orchestral scores have been recorded at the prestigious AIR Studios in London. She is currently working on her solo piano album, "Book of Dreams".

Aella Jordan-Edge, Director

"Aleksandra has a great instinct for heightening tension and reflecting the dramatic changes in the rhythm of the performances and created a very bespoke score for Christmas in Antwerp that only her could have come up with! Professional, creatively open and talented are the words that come to mind.”
